Random Paint Chip Poetry Project

I decided to start something I’ve been thinking about doing for a while now.

By random I mean it could happen once a day, once a week, or once a month, but I’ll try to be semi-regular about it.

To play the game, take the words I’ve selected from the Paint Chip Poetry game… 5-6 of them will be paint chip colors, a word prompt and then add a line from the lyrics of the song you are listening to right now, or song number six in your music playlist.

The word prompt for this one is “heartbreak” and the colors are: hot sauce, margarita, penny, ultraviolet and wild blue yonder. Don’t forget the line from lyrics.

Now write a poem or haiku in whatever length you wish and include an image, if you wish, to illustrate.

Link to this blog post in the link party, so we’ll all know where to read your poem.

Here is my entry for this round.

Out of touch, out of reach*… left with my heartbreak
Like hot sauce falling into my margarita

Like a long lost penny still left in the gutter of life
Instead I try to soar off into the wild blue yonder

Burning up in the ultraviolet light.
