Today is April Fool’s Day. A holiday I absolutely hate. It has turned into a day of playing vicious and cruel pranks on others. I find nothing funny about that.
Don’t get me wrong. I love to banter with people and with those I know well, tease them as long as I am not taunting them or making fun of the way they look.
I think it’s important to laugh.. but to laugh with someone and not at someone. I love and appreciate the comedy of certain geniuses like Robin Williams, George Carlin and Johnny Carson… they are classics. But also Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and a new person I just started watching named Jeanne Robertson… she is hysterical. What I like about the comedy of all of these people is that they talk about the same things we all do and can see the humor in it all. I laugh at things I can relate to.
This one by Jeanne Robertson never gets old…. and I laugh so hard, I was crying….
And this one by Robin Williams had me laughing so hard I could hardly breathe… because it’s all true!!!
