January Jumpstart: Jan 21: Prompt: Write About One Thing You Love About Yourself

I tend to focus way too much on the things I dislike about myself but over time, I’ve learned to at least appreciate many of those, especially my body… I now like my ass and my boobs, where before I would cringe at looking at them. I’m hoping that eventually I will feel the same way about my belly and arms.

I appreciate that even at my age, I have very few wrinkles on my face. I wish I could say the same thing about my hands. But my hands look like my mother’s hands, so I can appreciate them from that point of view.

But the one thing I like about myself is my curiosity. I am always asking “who”, “what”, “where”, “when” and “how”… I want answers. I love that we can google these questions and find answers, ideas, opinions and other’s views, and how with each question and each answer I learn something new.

Of course, this just encourages me to find out even more. With every new answer, it creates 20 more questions to investigate. I believe that’s the purpose of life.. to ask questions, find the answers and share those answers and ideas with others.
